Doha plans corniche redevelopment - 20 February 2012
Projects include building a park and upgrading Doha’s corniche
Doha is stepping up efforts to regenerate the city centre with two new projects that will redevelop the surrounding area.
The first scheme is the Doha Grand Park project. It will involve developing a park similar in design to New York’s Central Park and London’s Hyde Park. The scheme will include food and beverage outlets, museum and other attractions.
Opening Ceremony of Crowne Plaza Hotel Doha, The Business Park
Crowne Plaza Hotel Doha, The Business Park was opened on the 20th of August 2012, by the chairman of Trans Orient Establishment, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Thani and the Managing Director of Redco Construction - Almana Mr. Monjid Othman Abdelmajeed.
The Hotel is the first to launch in the region under the new Crowne Plaza branding, and offers 288 rooms and suites and 90 one-to-two bedroom residence suites.
